| C-Day +137 And the test results are? | Views: 302 |
I had my three month post follow up yesterday.
The tumor in my eye is about 30 % smaller, so we a confident that it will continue to shrink and be gone in about 9 months.
I also got back the DNA/RNA test results. Not as good as I would have hoped. We are going to treat me as a catagory 2A. Which means there is a high risk of the cancer spreading to my liver, but it could be 3-5 years or more, and I did have one good test that keep me out of the 2B cat which is very good news.
I will write more tomorrow, I don’t feel like I was given a death sentance there is a lot of hope that I can still beat this.
Cheers,
Paul

Dear Paul,
What great news! A shrinking tumor and a test with at least some positive news is a something worth celebrating! Congratulations! Keep fighting and keep living. I’ll keep you and all the cuties in your avatar in my prayers.
Peace,
Kathy
Well, I feel encouraged for you. A shrinking tumor yeah! One has to believe that in 3-5 years, there will be new and better treatment. A friend who is a doctor told me that if I can hang on for some time, it is likely that there will be other treatment options out there…that applies to all of us. In the meantime, hope springs eternal. Positive thought exude positive outcomes. You hang in there and stay positive. Doing any riding during the fall colors?
So glad it is shrinking. Can you see the tumor or is it behind your eye?
Paul,
It seems once you have cancer, the news you get is always both good and bad news. I pray for the day you blog that there is only GREAT NEWS!
My prayers are with you.
Sonia
Yaaay for the good news. I bet you feel relieved.
Lisa =)
We like good news!

Great to hear your tumor is shrinking! It’s encouraging and yes, you can beat this!

I think that is good news. Plus, you don’t have to keep waiting and waiting for test results. Three to five years is a long time and there will be lots more successful treatments being discovered every day. Like I always remind others, I’m being treated with Herceptin which hasn’t even been on the market but about 3 or so years. Keep on kickin’ it!
Paul,
From our chat I am assured that you understand what the “Good News” really is. That being said, I am thankful for your good news and for your hope in the outlook. The trick in this lifetime is to ride faster than the enemy. Keep pedaling brother!

I am so thankful that the tumor is shrinking. Who knows what they may come up with in 3 to 5 years. Stay strong and continue to fight.
My 10 years old grandson, Shawn, tells me often that he is going to find a cure for cancer when he grows up. I tell him that is wonderful and I hope and pray that he can.
My thoughts and prayers are with you each and every day.
Hugs, Joyce
Dear Paul; 10% reduction per month is an amazing result. In 9 months you should be right as rain. As far as the other part that could affect your liver; I would rather be in classroom 2A than 2B, just like in school. If they are that agressive in treatment no doubt you are getting the best care. This sounds to me like good news and I liked what Mac said; ride faster than the enemy, or catch me if you can.
How goes the art world and your pictures. I know we talked about it a while ago. I hope your business is booming, especially around Xmas time. How are those lovely girls of yours? I guess Xmas time is something they love. I know I loved it as a kid. That’s after all what its all about. Anyway just thought I would shift thoughts here.
Take care Paul;
Weezie
Paul,
Great news on the results. That is outstanding.
All the best,
